I want to go to CUNY hunter for college, but I'm really not too sure about my chances. I go to the best private school (academically, anyways), in my state, and I have a gpa of 3.114 for my first three years of high school. For my senior year first quarter I have a gpa (predicted) of 3.6-3.8. I have decent extra curriculars, but nothing to really brag about. Over the course of my high school years, I have taken a total of 4 AP classes (comp sci, government, apush, and ap bio) and gotten no lower than a 4 on the ap exams. My SAT score is a 1940, and my ACT is a 28. What shot do I have at Hunter? On an unrelated note, I know they have rolling admissions, so when should I apply? My college counselor said I should wait until the first semester ends, but I'm not so sure I should wait that long. What do you guys think?

Are you applying for macaulay?

As I heard, they do have specific deadline and not rolling, somewhere around early December i thk

If you are applying for macaulay, they got to look at your CR+M so you better give me your CR and Math not total score.

If you are applying for general course, you’re in.

My CR and math are both 630. My writing is actually my high score. I wasn’t really planning on applying to the honors college but I might give it a shot. We’ll see.

so 1260… are you planning to take again? Try to get around 1300+ coz it’s last year average (for Hunter, might be easier in Queens)… <<< I mean for honors…

But as general class 1260 is pretty good, I think the average is around 1100.

I’m also applying for hunter (macaulay), my combination score is about the same as you.

Can you chance me?

Good luck!

I think regular admission you are fine.
