What chance do I have of making it into Stanford?

I am currently a junior in High School, but am quite anxious to start applying to colleges, and am very curious about my chances to get into this university in particular.
I attend a large school in Georgia which is known for it's high degree of competition. It is either the top or second best school in our state.

My GPA is a 4.0+ with weights from APs, but I would guess it's about a 3.7 or 3.8 unweighted.
My class rank is top ten percent of the school (which I am sad to say doesn't imbue me with confidence).
My Junior year classes are:
Pre-calculus
AP Physics B
AP Chemistry
11th Honors Lit
AP Latin
US History

My Senior year classes are:
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
Human Anatomy
Organic chemistry and Biochemistry
AP Latin
College English (a small community college offers this course, and most in-state schools will accept this as a freshman english course)

SAT: Math:790 Writing:740 Reading:700
I have taken the Physics and Chemistry SAT IIs and am awaiting the scores.
Quick Question: Should I take the ACT?

Extra-curriculars
Tennis, Piano, Swimming (I do none with my school)
Violin (I played in school for 2 years)
Academic Bowl (I never particularly stood out though)

I think that my main angle in my essays will be about my history and future with the classics (Latin). I really think I stand out from other members of my race (Indian) because of this, and I think that standing out will very much increase my chances in Stanford.

Accomplishments:
Latin Quiz Bowl Captain for my High School- multiple tournament wins and 3 consecutive state championships (looking for a fourth next year)
Vice President of school JCL (Latin Club) chapter
Governor's Honors Program major in Latin-15 students from the entire state get chosen to attend this program. It is a 6 week program focusing on your particular major (Latin in my class) and emphasizes a college experience.
President of the GJCL (the Georgia Latin club)
I have attended numerous national conventions, winning various awards at each one.

I want colleges to see my passion for Latin as well as my emphasis on science in school. I'm hoping my classical background will be the 'hook' in my college application.

Sorry if it's a bit redundant and lengthy. Thank you for reading!

I have no idea about your chances, but you look amazing to me.

May I borrow these? j/k

While it’s certainly worth an application, your rank and scores are low for Stanford so you’ll neeed some good back up schools.

You’ve got a great record, but any school with a ~7% acceptance rate will be a crapshoot, no matter how good you are. You can easily get merit scholarships at schools that are a little lower. What other universities are you thinking of?

And about the ACT, it depends on what you thought of the SAT. If you prefer grammar and straight math over vocab and trick questions, it’s worth a shot.

Yeah, I understand that it’s a pretty slim chance, but I just wanted some feedback on my record and ‘hook’.

I’m also applying to Vanderbilt, Duke, and Emory.
My backup school is Georgia Tech, which is a great school, so I’ll be happy wherever I go.
But I think Stanford is my top choice.

And I think I will take the ACT. I only took the SAT once anyway.

Thanks for the replies!
