-I think I have a weighted GPA of : 3.2
-SAT score: 1780
(I know the scores are not ideal but its what I have)
-I wrote a (i think) well written essay and about how I overcame a unknown experience and learned from it, similar to what I will do in college.
-I am in about 10 clubs/ activities /sports

Schools I will apply to: (note - cappex showed me a medium chance for all except NYU, and Binghamton which was a very unlikely chance. I also understand capped does not guarantee anything but I still have some hope:) )

Boston Uni
Northeastern Uni
Syracuse Uni
Stony Brook
Binghamton
UMass Amherst
Uni of Delaware
UConn, Storrs
Baruch
Ithaca
Penn State, UP
NYU

I unfortunately believe your GPA will inhibit you from gaining acceptance into the majority of those schools. I’d say you would have the best chance at Penn State and Stony Brook.

@Saashah I think it depends on what your math and critical reading scores are. Most schools don’t care about the writing score. Also, ease of admission depends on what program/college within the University you are applying to (for example, engineering or business versus libreral arts/undecided). Based on US News & World Report Best Colleges edition, of the schools you listed Syracuse has the lowest general middle range (25% to 75% of class are between 1040 to 1270) followed by Penn State (1070 to 1280), then UDelaware (1090-1300), UMass (1110–1310). Baruch and UConn both have a middle range of 1130 to 1330. Stony Brook’s mid range is 1150 to 1350, and all the rest of the colleges you listed (Boston U. (119–1390), Binghamton (1200-1385), NYU (1260-1460), Northeastern (1300-1480) are more difficult to get into.

@rgr717 Thanks for the information that gave me a better idea on my chances:) but unfortunatley the reading and math are my lower scores. Math being my lowest and absloutley worst at a 540:/ and reading is 610, but i got a 630 on my writing and a 10 on my essay. will that stand out or mostly be disregarded?

@Saashah I think Syracuse considers your writing score, at least the Newhouse School of Syracuse considers it important. You need to look on the website of each individual college or University you apply to in order to determine if they say anything about consideration of the writing or total SAT score (out of 2400) versus just the Math and Criticial Reading sections. Some schools consider writing only for placement purposes for admitted students. I know Binghamton does not consider writing because the admissions representative told my daughter so. .
