What chances do I have of getting accepted into Vanderbilt?

Okay, I'm new to this, so if I made a mistake somewhere along the line, please forgive and bare with me.

I really would like to get into Vanderbilt, but I'm not sure what my chances are. I know it's a very selective school, so I'm worried about not getting in. My GPA is currently something like a 3.8 or 3.9, I'm in seven different clubs (National Honors Society, National Honors Society for Excellence in Science (Excalibur), Senior BETA, Student Advisory Committee, METS, Foreign Language Club, and Drama), and I do regular volunteer work with a nursing home in my town, not to mention that I've won a few awards that would look nice on an application (including winning first place for the "The Laws of Life" Essay contest and winning first place county wide in a science fair last year.) Do I have a chance of getting in? I'm really worried about my ACT score and the fact that I do not have a perfect GPA.

Be a leader in clubs. Your GPA is fine. Your volunteer work is typical among Vanderbilt applicants, and many of them have won many awards as well. You never mentioned your ACT score, but I think you would be a competitive applicant. Are you applying ED or RD?

Also could you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1561842-chance-me-duke-ed-will-chance-back-within-24-hours.html#post16449634

Sorry I did not clarify that, but my ACT score was a 29. And as for ED or RD, I haven’t really decided yet.

Vanderbilt is a bit of a reach for you. Only apply ED if you are sure that it is your first choice school. But ED does give a significant improvement to your chances.
