<p>I agree Seattle needs another university that can compare to UW. A world class city like Seattle needs more. Portland also should be included.</p>

<p>San Jose/Silicon Valley: It is shame that such a great Hub for Companies have only Stanford or UC Berkeley.</p>
<p>It can accomodate at least 2 to 3 more good colleges.
The strength of silicon valley students if not better than at least as good as Boston but lack good Universities.</p>
<p>Companies need to encourage more top level engineering and medical institutes in San Jose.</p>
<p>I once backed a proposal for San Jose Institute of Science and Technology and San Jose Medical College.
But it never picked up any heat. There is lot of bias against San Jose in the bay area. It is the largest city in terms of area/population/jobs but the area is called San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose bay area. What a pitty?</p>
