What class do I drop?

I am put in an extremely difficult situation for my senior year. My school offers varsity orchestra and AP French IV during the same class periods. I have to drop one of the courses, but which one do I drop? My academics aren’t outstanding (ranked around 35% of my class), but I will be taking dual credit English and algebra. Would French be ideal to keep, since it’s an AP foreign language and I’ve been taking it since freshman year? Or should I stay in orchestra, which I’ve been in since freshman year and am currently in varsity? Which would colleges (like University of Texas and Texas A&M) prefer to see?

Keep the class that interests you the most and that you enjoy the most.

Keep orchestra.

Which class do you want to keep the most? In my opinion, I would keep Varsity Orchestra. This class sounds really unique and more interesting than AP French IV. Even though most colleges prefer four years of the same foreign language, three years is typically the requirement. For Varsity Orchestra, do you/will you hold a leadership position?According to their websites, the University of Texas and Texas A&M both require 2 foreign language years/credits. So, I would definitely stick with Varsity Orchestra.
