What class do you find the most annoying?

Lmao, good answer ;)

History. The teacher is an ultra-conservative hypocritical lunatic (she has a picture of Bush next to her door).

French. The teacher can’t speak English and thinks her opinions are better than anyone else’s. She also take out her anger on us.

English. Teacher sucks at teaching, and I hate English (the subject).

Wow. Amazing how the humanities classes get so much hate… more evidence of the science and math bias here on CC, perhaps? Personally, English and foreign language courses are my favorites.

The only subject I hate is English. I somewhat like history and foreign language, but the humanities teachers tend to be the annoying ones. From my experience, math and science teachers are a lot more objective, and I believe teachers should be as objective as possible. I feel humanities teachers are usually unnecessarily emotional or passionate.

I could be wrong though.

And yes, I do prefer math and science. =p

Civics.
So much to MEMORIZE.

I see. I’m actually inclined to agree with you on the “math and science teachers being more objective” part, and genuinely enjoy my current math and science courses (only that math is getting pretty annoying these days), but it seems that all my English teachers so far have loved my writing, which is where my humanities bias comes in lol. Foreign languages are also my forte by far, so that’s also another factor…

Calc BC

It is not natural and perfect when there are severe flaws made up for with exceptions and out right arbitrary rules.

Can you list some of these “flaws”? I can see a flaw being when there has not been a closed form expression found for an integral, but what else are you talking about?

Chemistry, mostly because my teacher is rude and isn’t thorough whatsoever.

Can you list some of these “flaws”? I can see a flaw being when there has not been a closed form expression found for an integral, but what else are you talking about?

In series, you do f(c)(x^n)/n!
Well they arbitrarily make 0! 1, even though logically it wouldn’t be (my book and teacher support this) just so the whole thing will work. Infinite sums would not work at all if this wasn’t arbitrarily given a specified value.

AP Chemistry

I had to take it during the year that the epic AP Chemistry teacher decided to retire and the Chemistry CP (not even honors) decided to take it over.
We learn nothing, so I’m screwed for the AP test unless I self-study (which I am).

^That’s what my AP World Class is like except my 60 year old teacher is still there on tenure and has been there for almost 20 years and is 15x State Champion coach in a sport that’s barely coachable… :l

cowman I do not understand what part of series is arbitrary.

^He’s saying that 0!=1 does not make sense(I think).
@cowman, 0!=1 is a definition. It cannot be proven because of that. However, there are some ways to make sense of it. First, n! is number of ways arrange n objects, so 0! is number of ways to arrange 0 object, which is 1. And there are some other ways also.
EDIT: It also works with the gamma function.

The thing I hate about English is the same course is taught by several different teachers, ranging from ones who only give As to ones who only give one or two As a semester…I had to get with the teacher that only gives one or two As a semester. I wish there was some way to communicate this to colleges

^That’s true for a majority of courses at my school.

That is probably one of the best ways to understand this. It has been proven by example. I do not see how this makes calculus in general to be “unnatural”.

COLLEGE ALGEBRA!
This is the worst class I have ever been in! Luckily I’m taking Precalc at the same time so I’m actually learning something in math. The people in my class are so stupid and ignorant, my two biggest pet peeves. I already know this stuff and get BEYOND ED OFF when everyone doesn’t give a sh about it and tries to get the teacher to give less work or let us use our study guide for the test. We have an excellent teacher who is AMAZING at math, but no one gives a sh and doesnt listen to him or just sleeps. :(

AP human geography.
teacher is funny and has nice personality, but can’t teach. you may believe that you’ve encountered a lazy teacher , but this guy… oh my god. he’s practically just a babysitter, and we go to his class each day and read the whole TB by ourselves. -_____-

English Floating Block–a required English course, only counted as an elective, at my school that I have to take to fulfill the drama/poetry portion of the California English Standards. I have to take it for two years(freshman and sophomore), and I extremely hate it because it teaches nothing and it feels like a regular class. Overall, the class is a total waste of time.
