So here are my selected courses for next year:
AP Calc AB
AP Stats
AP Bio
English 12
Gov/Econ
PHYSICS or SPANISH 3 ??
I’m pretty good in math and I can easily learn languages because i’m bilingual. I have an A in Trig/Precalc, an A in Chem, an A in Spanish 2.
I’m having a hard time choosing which one will be better for my college applications. I wanted to take Physics for the 3 years of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and I also wanted to take Spanish for the 3 years of a foreign language.
I’ll be majoring in pharmaceutical chemistry in college btw.
Edit: Nevermind what I originally wrote. I would recommend going with Spanish. Taking two science courses, especially AP sciences is rough and tough to manage, especially in senior year.
I dont know if I should choose physics or spanish 3
Why not take both? Remove either AP statistics or AP biology to make room if necessary.
Drop AP stats, it’s an elective, and take BOTH physics and Spanish 3 as selective colleges will expect both.
I also recommend replacing AP Statistics or AP Biology. I would only recommend keeping AP Biology if you have never taken biology. I highly recommend you take both Spanish 3 and Physics as physics is highly recommended for all majors and colleges, and you need at least three years of one foreign language. While AP Statistics is useful, it is not to the extent the other courses would be, and you can take the statistics course in college in necessary… you should be fine in math because you will be taking AP Calculus AB. Take out AP Statistics if you decide to keep AP Biology.
Best of luck and have a good day!
