What class to take senior year?- AP Government or Leadership

I have pretty much decided my schedule for senior year except for one class- AP Government or Leadership. Leadership is basically a community service class- it organizes many events at the school like blood drives and stuff, and it also works a lot with the special education kids, throwing parties and dances for them. I know with holistic admissions it probably would not make a big deal on my application. However, I do not plan on doing anything government related in college, as I’m more of a math person. Also, I don’t want to appear as another Asian just taking a bunch of AP classes. On the flip side, I don’t want to appear as slacking off either, as it is not a difficult class at all compared to AP Gov. I’m just paranoid and worried about college and looking for some advice. Thanks!

Which will you get more out of. Which would fill a knowledge gap more? Take that one. I can’t imagine a admissions officer putting differential weight on one vs the other.

I doubt it would really have that much of an impact, unless somehow your involvement in the Leadership class is life changing. Personally, I think AP Government is an important class to take, you learn a lot about how our country is run, and it gives some really good insight if you don’t have some already.

Take the class you like best, or the class with the best teacher.
Personally, I’d go with Leadership, simply because it’ll be different from the rest of your other classes, it will put you in contact with students you probably don’t encounter in your classes, and it’ll take you a bit out fo your comfort zone (I assume, from the way you speak about it, that AP classes are no big deal to you.)

I say to take the AP Gov so that you don’t have to worry about in college if you can get a 4/5 on the AP exam.
