If I'm a pre-business major aiming for Haas, what classes would I be taking in the first couple of semesters before applying to Haas?

Is the Haas path doable while still having a decent social life? Or will the mass studying eliminate any possibility of communicating with any fellow homosapiens?

I’m a fellow Pre-business’er, so here’s what I’m doing/my plan.

I guess the best thing to do in the first 2 years would be to fulfill the breadth/prereqs for Haas. So I’m mostly taking breadth classes that interest me. I don’t have to take calc, english, or econ though since I got 5’s on the AP tests. But if you didn’t you should probably take those.

It seems like the pre-business path is pretty open ended except for the prerequisites of calculus, econ, english, stat, and UGBA 10, but those shouldn’t be that hard. I guess how difficult/time-consuming your schedule is depends on what classes you choose to take as your breadth classes.

Of course, all of this is just what I’ve gathered from my own research. Any actual Haas’ers out there that could give us a better picture? :P

Here has the links of all the courses you NEED to take or complete before or during applying for Haas during the beginning of your spring semester of your sophomore year. Depending on how many courses you’ve taken care of through AP scores or community college courses, you’ll have to spread all of the prerequisites and breadth during your semesters. Also when figuring out schedules, be sure to take courses that correspond to a backup/second major in the possibility of not getting in. You don’t want to end up taking a lot of “Haas-specific” courses and not get in, thus being left with nothing to work with towards your new major.

If you want to enter Haas, first two years, since they are a prerequisite for entering.

Also, kind’ve a weird question, but is it possible to enter Haas as a sophomore? Not saying I want to do it, but I have about 40 units from AP tests alone, got 5’s on econ, lit, and calc bc so I’m exempt from those prerequisites. And I scored 800 on an SAT II language subject test. That just leaves me with 7 breadth courses, a lit/writing course, UGBA 10, and STAT 21. If I took those 10 classes in the two semesters of freshman year, would it be possible to enter as a sophomore?
