<p>I took classes like Health and band. Are these classes academic?</p>
<p>Totally depends on the college. Generally, most/all consider core academics as being English, history/social sciences, science, math, and foreign language. Some will include visual arts/music/dramatic arts. Most will exclude PE, health, vocational studies, driver’s ed., etc.</p>
<p>No they are not academic to the HS schools that I am aware of.</p>
