What classes are the iClickers good for?

rider70: I’m pretty sure the professors change the questions for the different sessions.

Well, since it was a theoretical, actually a random idea that popped in my head as I answered a post, I can’t claim to have done any research at all. It may well be that the questions are altered. Having never sat in consecutive sessions, I wouldn’t know, but I guess someone may have watched a webcast of one session then attended another just to take their clicker quiz - that person or persons would know at least for the day in question. I don’t claim to know, it was just an odd thought. I used the word ‘theoretical’ in the original post because I didn’t expect anyone to try it in real life.

I seeeeeeeeeeeee. Still useful info - I’d rather be prepared with a preview of the next lecture’s clicker quiz than nothing!

Just to add, you can earn two points a day: one for the “chem quiz” and one for the “chem participation”. Chem quizzes are graded and you will get a point if you give the correct answer. On the other hand, chem participations are not graded, so as long as you submit an answer you will get a point. Therefore, you are guaranteed one out of the two points everyday.

Also, these questions aren’t difficult. They are designed to introduce you to a certain topic. The instructors assign a “pre-class assignment” to cover what will be on the “chem quiz”.

So if you attend all the lectures, you are GUARANTEED half of the cumulative iclicker points. In addition, most of these questions are pretty basic. My suggestion is to not worry so much about the iclickers; you should focus more on understanding the material.
