What classes do you take if you are ross pre admit

Hi there! I got pre admit to ross and am curious about what my requirements will be for LSA my freshman year and beyond. Besides freshman writing, calc, and econ, do i have freedom to pick my classes if I am getting a Ross degree? Do I have to take a science class? And if I want to get a double major in LSA, do I have to take LSA distribution credits? Thanks.

Congrats on getting preadmit, that’s a lot of stress removed. Take calc and econ in seperate semesters and then try to fulfill as many of the distributions as you can (only have to do 3 out of the 4 which are humanities, social science, natural science and a language). Other then that, balance your schedule with classes that interest you as well as some easy ones to boost your GPA. If you dual major in LSA, I believe you have to fulfill all of the LSA distributions as well.

At orientation you will meet with an advisor to discuss classes, so you dont really have to worry about it too much

Mandatory classes as a freshman:

Calc 1 (can skip if you got 5 on AP)
Econ 101 (Micoreconomics)
First Year Writing Requirement class
BCOM 250 (winter semester only)
A Preadmit seminar class thing every other Wednesday night.

As for LSA distribution, no. Ross will be your “home school”, so you have to fulfill the Ross distribution requirements. for any degree including dual degrees

If you get a dual degree in Ross and LSA, you have to complete both the Ross and LSA distribution requirements.
