What classes should I take junior year?

I want to go to Cal State Fullerton can someone please walk me through for my next 2 years of highschool!

Take the most challenging courses you can get As or Bs in. Taking weighted classes will help boost your GPA. Score highly on the SAT or ACT. CSUs determine admissions solely based upon your eligibility index, which is calculated with your GPA + SAT or ACT.

You want to make sure you meet the a-g course requirements and take cpurses above the minimum.

The CSU/UC GPA is based on your grades from 10-11th grades in your a-g courses and you get extra points on the calculation for UC approved honors/AP/IB courses up to 8 semesters.

As stated above, all CSU’s (except SLO) use the eligibility index to rank applicants based on major.
EI= (CSU GPA x200)+ (ACT composite x10) OR (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT math + CR)
Aim for an EI around 3800 SAT/900 ACT for the best chances for CSUF. Make sure you apply to several schools with varying selectivity so you have several choices next Spring

CSUs are unique in that they use a simple formula to rank applicants. @gumbymom spells it out well above.

A schedule full of hard classes will do you no good. You need to complete the a-g course list, meet the Eligibility Index threshold, and that’s it. Note the cap on AP bonus points is pretty low. Taking more than 8 semesters does you no good. Taking more math/science/language does you no good.

UCs and privates take a broader perspective. If there is an outside shot you’d be interested in one, I’d suggest a different course.

Would you be interested in UCSC for instance? Very good university, would rank pretty high in many States.
