What classes to take for manageable workload?

I may want to transfer. Thus I want to take what at least appear to be hard classes while maintaining a ~4.0 gpa. Can I accomplish this with a 19 credit load?
Freshman writing seminar (3 Credits)
Philosophy of Mind (4 credits)
Spanish 123 (3rd level) (4)
Intro to Cognitive Science (4)
Calculus 1 (4 credits)

You already know that you want to transfer? Give Cornell a chance. I hated it for the first half of my freshman year and then it grew on me. It's the big university experience- sucks at first, but you'll be grateful come senior year when there's still exciting stuff to do and new stuff to see and your friends who go to small colleges are bored out of their minds.
But then again, you may have totally different reasons for transferring, so I don't want to lecture you.
FWSs vary from very easy to pretty hard (I had both ends of the spectrum my freshman year). Your schedule doesn't look too bad, but it doesn't look easy, either. The rule of thumb when it comes to course enrollment is to start out with a little too much, then drop if necessary. See how it's going in 3 weeks.
