I’m an incoming pre-med freshman majoring in npb. What classes should I take for the 1st quarter? I placed in math 21a from the placement test, but the prerequisites said that you only needed math 17 series for bio. I don’t want to be too overwhelmed for my first few months in davis, but I also want to get everything out of the way for my requirements if that makes sense. Thanks.

[UC Davis General Catalog: NPB requirements](http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/ucdwebcatalog02_04/programs/BIS/NPBreqt.html)

and you have to meet the general reqs too. I think if you take math, chem, and bio, that should be a good load for incoming freshman. If you’re feeling studious, you can take a g.e on top of that, but always know that the math/sci classes are the tough ones
