I just got alot of American Eagle clothes as a gift. I know it's more popular at high school but would I look like a tool if I wore an AE hoodie?

Are you wearing those with or without cargo shorts?

*Nobody will think your a tool for wearing any thing but a tool hoodie, and I mean tool as in the band tool…

LOL, no dude you’ll be fine. Nobody’s going to think you’re a tool. Might think you really love American Eagle if you only wear that all the time, but thats not so bad.

Nah you’d look fine as long as your outfit isn’t 100% American Eagle, and you don’t like spike or highlight or gel your hair/ get your ears pierced.

who cares?

You’re a tool for asking the question.

take them back to the store and exchange them, then you will have hundreds of dollars.

Honestly, considering the hate certain people have on here toward anything not from Vineyard Vines or J. Crew or Brooks Brothers etc, I’m not too surprised someone would post this.

if your that worried about being labeled then buy a shirt without a label, such as a blank t shirt or a blank hooded sweatshirt. their cheaper to, thats all i wear except for special shirts.

Who the eff cares.

This is not high school. Wear what you want.

I think you’ll be fine, OP.

And a question of my own:

I was talking to a friend and he tells me that no one at his college wears cargo shorts. Is this a college-wide thing, or do you guys think it’s specific to his campus? And if anyone else heard of this can you explain to me why cargos are a “no-no”?

there was a like 10 page thread on cargo shorts a few weeks ago.

No one cares.

As long as you’re dressed reasonably, few will make judgements based on your clothes. Relax.

Just be yourself, nobody is focused on judging you unless they’re completely superficial.

im wearing a pair right now that i got from walmart. big deal i dont even wear shorts but a couple months of the year.

I just like to wear clothes that is comfy. But I heard some people dont like AE or think low of it. Why would that be

People shouldn’t judge you based on your clothing choices. Wear what you want, all that matters is that YOU feel good in what you wear.

:)

Rlynch, it’s his school. A lot of preppier and Southern schools tend to be a little more formal in their dress. Over here at UMD you see cargos, sweatpants, those Andy Bernard pants, anything.

just mix and match them with some other brand i guess.

I think even being completely decked out in AE is fine as long as you don’t have the brand name absolutely splattered over each piece of clothing (YUCK!). If you got many pieces of that kind, then just go and exchange them for something with the AE brand icon/name being less prominent and you’ll be fine.

Who cares? Only those concerned with the way others perceive them based on the clothes they wear are the ones that judge others based on what they wear.
