I’m a good student and am currently in history club, founding member. Model UN, Robotics, and ultimate Frisbee. I’m trying to focus my EC on stem and history, my two biggest interests, and was wondering what other clubs or other out of school activities would be good to do.
history: i’m sure there are school history competitions out there. u can include that in ur history club.
stem: math team, computer science club, robotics team, science olympiad, girls who code (if you’re a girl)
outside of school:
history: volunteering? not sure if there are many opportunities in history. in my opinion history club and competitions suffice
stem: internships, volunteering, job shadowing, camp counselor, summer programs, competitions, learning to program in different languages, learning different science topics like AI or data science, programming apps, joining programming competitions, etc.
You are already in multiple clubs. I am not sure that you need to spread yourself any thinner. Participate in a club because you want to, not because you hope that an admissions officer will be impressed.
Personally I like to read about history. However, I am not sure how I would get high school students to want to participate in a history club. Have you had any success with this?
We just formed this year and I am the only freshman, I am set to become the leader junior year, and I am trying to turn the club in a service the community way, which is making some people more interested. We are also trying to team up with women’s in leadership and black leaders union. I am a guy.
