What college are you OBSESSED with?

MIT >=(.. I've wanted to go there since the dawn of mankind ._. Why couldn't i just be satisfied with myself?

^^ because only fools are satisfied

MIT!

It's boston
best research facilities
very accomplished professors
sounds catchy.

Brown.

Hah, but that's not happening.

haha...i just read that post after looking at Yale on street view---so my answer to that question in undeniably yes....

Yale, as well (in fact, I was just looking at it on Google maps yesterday lol)

I can't stop drooling over their extensive online viewbook, either.

I have many reasons, but here are a few:

Obviously the academics and connections that come with being one of the top schools in the world

A much more relaxed, communal, friendly, non-competitive atmosphere than Harvard or Princeton.

Residential College system. 'Nuf said.

Master's Teas.

I've been watching the Yale online "open" courses for forever (not really a reason, but more evidence of my obsession, I suppose haha)

Harold Bloom. Once again, 'nuf said.

The Bulldog is such a cooler mascot than "the Crimson," lolz. The Tiger is close, but just not cool enough :D

Gothic = best architecture ever.

and many more :)

University of Miami

I live in the Northeast and want out of the cold in the worst way. The campus is absolutely stunning, and there is so much to do in the Miami area. Did I mention that it is warm?

The bad part is that it is the only school I am still waiting for a decision from...

Right now, USC. But I probably have like a 1% chance of getting in.

Hahaha I lol'ed at the Google Street View thing. I've done that for Macalester.

CUNY BARUCH,
My dreammmm schoool drools

Dartmouth!! (but that's not happening. nonetheless i still dream...)
-Love the amazing academics
-Love the study abroad program
-Love NH
-Love ski slope
-Love the campus
-Love the people
-Love the atmosphere
-Love GREEN
I LOVE Dartmouth, just wanted to put it out there.
Is there any change that they will accept an average asian with 1940 SAT, OK grades, 5/514, not really stellar ECs? Not really, right? Great.

MIT and CalTech
Sadly I will not get into any of the above
But I think I'd also be happy at my state school

Brown <33

But we'll see...

Caltech:

Awesome requirements (Quantum Mechanics!)

Small undergraduate body

California

House system

Ride of the Valkyries before Finals xD

Ditch Day

I ♥ Columbia!!!

S and D must mean Supply and Demand right? :)

Penn, especially because I got in ED

First of all, "Does anyone aside from me obsessively cruise around their dream school on Google Street View?" LMFAO

^ i honestly thought i was the first one to think about this >_>

secondly, i'd say USC for me hands down. as a turkish kid growing up in the US, i've heard of places like harvard and princeton, but my guidance counselors always told us to apply to local colleges. honestly, i blame them for not enlightening me to the world of colleges out there in the nation that are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Anyway, Why USC?

Best football team, period. Yeah, yeah, I know other teams are good and whatnot, but I never get the same excitement from any other team than the Trojans. The fans are phenomenal

*Academics are off the charts. Some of you might be like "yeah, who you kidding. USC's academics are a joke" I don't really know about that. Yes, granted they might not be like Stanford, but USC is really starting a new system of education. Incoming freshman are kids with high gpa's, high test scores, coming from all sorts of places.

*Campus is beautiful. Perhaps they aren't located in the "safest" part of L.A., but that campus itself could not be any prettier. I think its something like an hour away from desert, mountains, and ocean. (I could be wrong, but i think thats what the saying was :P)

*Warm climate. :) Coming from NJ, I'm really tired of the snow...every year... :P
