Hi, I'm a high school junior with pretty decent grades(Mostly As with a few Bs). I've taken all AP/Honors classes and am a year ahead in maths. One thing that I've always excelled in was writing. I've written and published a book and am in the process of writing a second one but through my own experiences and my fellow writers input, I've come to the conclusion that unless I'm the next Stephen King, I probably will not make above $30,000 a year. Although writing is something I love passionately, I don't really think that I have the talent and skill to be able to make a living off of it. So now I turn towards business in hopes of finding a career that will net me at least $100,000. I haven't really taken any high school classes that prepare me for this(Because of my dreams of being a writer, I've taken classes such as writer's workshop and journalism rather than anything business related) although I am taking economics and marketing my senior year. What colleges are there with a decent business program? Or rather, what colleges are there with a decent business program that a student such as I could get into?
My grades are nothing spectacular though they are alright. Keep in mind that I've taken all Honors/AP classes so that might excuse the 6 Bs I've gotten. I have scored 5s on my AP European History, Psychology, American History, Calculus, and English composition tests. I qualified as a National Merit Scholar and my SAT score is a 1960(Will hopefully be higher when I retake it). I'm taking the ACT this June and I hope that I'd get at least above a 30. Are there any good business schools that I could get into with(preferably) a nice chunk of scholarship money? In addition, are there any other majors that I would be better off in than business? I would prefer something with an emphasis on writing and would lead to a somewhat lucrative career.
Thanks for all the help.
