As I wade through my college search, I've decided that food is a VERY important factor in my decision. Do you think your school has the best (or the worst) food on the planet? Post it here.

UCLA. I love the food here

I have to second UCLA's dorm food. Westwood also has some nice restaurants, and if you take a little trip to Santa Monica, you have even more.

Cornell. http://dining.cornell.edu/

To narrow it down some: It is absolutely crucial that any college I consider be within walking distance of an authentic New York style pizza place (meaning thin crust, perfect ratio of cheese to sause, etc.). A good all-night diner is another important point. Dining hall food must also have some variety (as I've heard UCLA does). Good bagels another must.

If you can't tell, 5 years in a little middle of nowhere town has really gotten to me. I can't take it here any longer, where people's idea of good pizza is Pizza Hut.

UCLA buffet rox...although it doesn't help your waistline :D

I pretty much LOVE the food here at Macalester. The school uses Bon Apetite food services, so I guess anywhere with the same service would be excellent. they use as much organic, hormone free food as they can, locally grown when possible, all freshly prepared blah dee blah.
Bagels... are okay.
Italian pie right down the road now, moved in last month. won a bunch of awards and stuff, i havent been yet.
i know about diners open til 2 am but not all night.

Yeah food at UCLA is generally awesome.

NY Pizza- well, there are several places in Westwood which claim to be "the best NY pizza in LA", though I can't personally vouch for all of them. DeAmores is good. There's also BJs and CPK,which arent NY style, but eh, options.

Diners- lots of 24-hour diners in the general vicinity (yay Mel's!) but not walking distance. Um. There's a Dennys in Westwood. Oh and a 24-hour Subway! and InNOut which is way better than diner food anyway.

Dining Halls- lots. rotating schedules. what everyone else said. (I live off-campus and I can never get my dorm friends to go to restaurants with me because they figure their mealplan food is probably at least as good as restaurant food. bah).

Bagels- sorta.

Eww Subway! Yuck. InNOut is good. Thanks Allie.

I miss Subway. I haven't had a sub sandwich in almost 6 months...

NY Pizza? Ugh! :(

Chicago style forever.

I have to say that Cornell officially gets points for their City Bucks plan. UCLA should implement something like that.

Out of all the schools I've actually eaten at (Cornell, Stanford, Penn State, Florida, and Central Florida), Cornell by far has the best food on-campus. Everything is prepared fresh on campus with many agriculture products grown on or near campus. The selection at any dining hall is as great as any big buffet style restaurant but higher in quality. We even have 4 star restaurants come in once a semester to prepare food for us. Even off campus food is pretty good though it doesn't quite match Cornell Dining.

I know that Wheaton College (IL) and St. Olaf College are ranked in the top few for the best college food in the country.

I have heard from many people that Cornell has the best food by far.

Cornell has awesome food and Tufts' food is very good too.

Yes, my cousin goes to Tufts and the general consensus is that it's great. Unlimited meals.

Not Chico State, that's for sure, as far as dining hall and on-campus places are concerned. The city itself is great with food, especially late night, however.

My friend goes to Rutgers and she says the food is really good
