YO PENN PEEPS
OK first of all before you think I am brain dead I realize that I really don’t have a chance at this school, but my parents are making me apply…I mean of course I’d want to go, but I am not foolish enough to believe I will get in. LOL. ANYWAYS I read somewhere that the nursing school is the easiest to get into? Is this true and if not which do u suggest I have the best chance at (I’m not asking only because I want to apply to the easiest one-I really am very interested in nursing, but could also end up majoring in something totally different and be just as happy…soooo I really don’t know what I want to do but I am very interested in nursing.) Oh so anyway here are my “stats”.

Ok I think thats it!!! THANKS DUDES FOR THE EXPERT ADVICE!!! :)

Haha you have an awesome shot...indeed nursing is the least selective of the schools, but I think you're a great candidate for the college as well. Your rank is excellent and your ec's are very solid and you seem to be an outgoing and likeable person...the only weak spot is your scores and they're not bad by any means. Wharton you don't have much of a shot and it doesn't sound like you'd be interested in the school of engineering but the college and nursing would be great matches I think...just write good essays. Good luck.

Hahahah I love you for telling me I have an awesome shot!! :) This whole college thing is really ruining my self esteem man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad you said I seem like a likeable person b/c I worry about all of these overly uptight ivy people which is why I LOVE PENN--there are lots of COOL PPL aka MY KIND OF PEOPLE there! lol My scores do kinda blow tho :(

Getting hit on in an online college forum...thats a first ;) LOL

this is the penn forum after all. we party as often as those kids at princeton wer their pink lacoste polos - a.k.a. all the time. but seriously call me

Again bern, you're misleading people on the SAT thing....affirmative action has an effect. Don't take this personally, i think you're a cool guy...but its just not a valid argument to say your score were on the lower end and you got in without mentioning you are a URM. King, lay off my girl.

UPENN people really are the coolest nerds :) And I mean that in the best way possible since umm we're all basically freaks for being on here !!!!!!!!

Are the avgs. for nursing really in the 1200s??? The upenn site has like no stats for the specific colleges! & lucky you bern, I am officially jealous...I often question my mother as to why she couldn't have an affair w/a person who was a URM...I've been doomed from the start!!

Ok to be more general I know a lot of people at penn (wharton, etc.) who have lower SATs than I do - and no they aren't all URMs if you want to bring race into this. if she's applying to nursing they have the lowest of the lowest test scores. Seriously of the 20 or so nursing people that I know like 2 have above a 1400, a few have 1300s, and most are in the 1200s. Their average is like 1280. It is not a hard program to get into - i think that about 40% get in.
