What college would fit me?

I am looking for a PREPPY posh, small college with strong academics, and a strong Government/Political Science program. I would prefer it to be conservative, but anything is fine, as long as it’s not Ueber-Liberal. What college would fit me? Some people have recommended Hampden-Sydney.
Here is a brief overview of my stats
GPA- 3.5
SAT
CR- 800
W- 750
Math- 550
Total 2100

Washington and Lee seems to fit your needs

Are W&L and Hampden-Sydney similar as far as student body goes?(I know HSC is all-male, but is the culture of the student body similar?) Also, is Hampden-Sydney strong academically?
Thanks!

Davidson? Sewanee? Hillsdale? Wheaton (Illinois)? Furman?Bucknell?

Denison? Miami University (Ohio) as a large public safety

Wofford College in South Carolina, plus Centre College in Kentucky.

^ Concur with this; look at Gettysburg College as well.

HAHAHAHAHA!! I enjoyed the list!! Thanks!

If money is no object, most of the top southern LACs would probably fit the bill. I second Davidson. Wake Forest might work.

I assume she is planning to go by boat: Portside out, Starboard home. Right?

“posh” is British for “pedigreed” or, in this case, OP likes the idea of “only upper class/upper middle class students with a pedigree/good family/long family tree” on campus.
Centre, Birmingham-Southern, Rollins; out of the South, Denison, Wheaton IL, Calvin, Gordon, Pepperdine (although Pepperdine isn’t so much “posh” than “bling”).

What about Hampden-Sydney? Would that be a good one?

Yes, Hampden Sydney would have everything you’re looking for. Also look at Wabash.
Sewanee? Rhodes?
What about UVA - but it’s not “small” by any means but fits otherwise. Same thing for Vanderbilt.Easier to get into than these two, University of Alabama and Ole Miss would fit what you’re looking for except for size (look for a thread in Hindsights and lessons learned, titled “not over but this shows how a list can change over time”. the poster was a self-described extremely conservative, not very religious student.)
Emory-Oxford is small and Emory is “posh” and moderate, with a wide spectrum of opinions.
When I think “posh” and “Small”, I think Davidson. Up until this year, there were maids to do the students’ laundry.

Wabash is WAY too Liberal. I know some guys at that school. Alabama, and Ole Miss are public universities, and I’d have to pay out of state tuition for a mediocre education.(nothing against either Alabama or Ole Miss, but I don’t think it’s worth paying out of state for those schools.) I live in Virginia, so UVA might be a good fit, but I might not get in with my scores. Can you guys tell me everything you know about Hampden-Sydney? Is it strong academically?(Does the student body care about their academics?) Why is it ranked so low by US News & World Reports?
Thanks!

Wasbash isn’t liberal.

Wabash is VERY Liberal socially(I don’t know about fiscally) There is a big gay community at Wabash, and the school supports gay marriage. My friends at Hampden-Sydney are WAY more conservative, then the guys I know at Wabash.

If you know so much stop posting the same questions about POSH schools and your future aspirations.

Williams, Bucknell, Franklin and Marshall, Gettysburg, and Elon . Best of luck!

Could I get into Williams with my stats if I apply ED?
