What college you go to before Med School

Does it matter what college you go to for undergrad when you apply to med school or are grades more important than where you go? if so, how much and how are they weighted?

Thank You!

Med schools won’t care where you go. They’ll want to see that you did well in your prerequisite courses, that you have a high GPA, good letters of rec, research experience, and high MCAT scores. Interviewing well is a bonus. Each school will have its own formula, but, once you’ve completed the prerequisites, generally nothing matters more than GPA.

Don’t get too caught up on choosing the best “premed college” as a high school senior. As others have pointed out, you’ll likely change plans at some point.
