I am currently a high school junior. I will be taking the SATs in January and I feel prepared for those except I just need to review more. However, I don’t know what colleges are in my range. My unweighted GPA is a 3.9 and my weighted is a 4.38. Freshman and sophomore year I took all honors courses, and got straight As, except for a health class. However this year i am currently struggling in my AP Computer Science class (trying to get / maintain an 80 average), and I feel as if this year might be a bit shaky and difficult, but possibly okay. The problem is that I feel like I don’t have any meaningful ECs.
I’ve been doing archery since freshman year but I stopped sophomore year, and am going to do it again next month to continue with it.
I am also writing for the student newspaper since sophomore year and will probably become editor senior year
I am hoping to do some volunteer activity this year.
Is this enough for the colleges I plan to apply to? I am planning on going into either a journalism or marketing/business major, and I hope to attend either UMass Amherst or Marist. I am scared and nervous. What should I do?
