OP, you’re misunderstanding. What they will know after getting the FA offer is what they HAVE to pay, not what they can afford to pay. Ask them how much they are willing to put to your college yearly. I think the in-state options are great, especially with Bright Futures and any pre-paid. Also you can look here for some schools:
