What colleges average out your test scores?

Like not "super scoring" or taking highest composite?

I've heard people talk of this, but I don't think any of the colleges I'm applying to do, and I was wondering if anyone knew of schools that did this.

Thanks

i don't think any schools would do this unless you took the test like 5 or 6 times. more than likely each school is going to superscore your composite so as to boost their 'average freshmen accepted' numbers

I'm thinking of taking the SAT once or twice this year, as a Soph, so I'm wondering if I should hold back not. I'd like to practice for the PSAT, if that makes any sense at all, lol.

it does not exist whoever told you that was lying...

I wish it did exist....then I wouldn't have to worry about stupid CR o_o

anyways I don't see how that would be advantageous...

Well, some books say:"some schools superscore, composite and some average...

So, if I take the test 10 times, the school will either superscore or take the highest composite of test 1-10?

hawaiiboy... i think the new SAT policy begins March of 2009. The new policy is that you report specific testing dates to each college so they won't see every time you took the test. So if you really want to take the SAT this year go ahead, but make sure you take it in March, May, or June as that would be most advantageous to you.

make sure you're prepared though. it will be nice to get a solid score the first time with preparation rather than rushing to take the test with no preparation and receiving a lowsy score so you have pressure to do a lot better the next time. talk to your counselor too and see what he/she says. good luck.

edit: don't take the test 10 times. 1. it's not that important and 2. it's not worth it. take it 4 times max or until you know you've scored your best. it's just a test.

actually don't fall in to trap of new policy it says that colleges can still request all your test scores.
