What colleges can I get into?

I am currently a Junior in high school and could really use some insight on which colleges I would be able to get into.

Attend high school in Montgomery County MD, a suburb of D.C.
high school is very diverse, #71 in the country

My freshman grades are awful as for I had a very hard time adjusting from my small catholic school to large public school

Freshman Semester 1:
3.0 UW
3.42 W

Freshman Semester 2:
3.28 UW
3.71 W

4 honors classes Freshman year

Sophomore Semester 1:
3.57 UW
4.0 W

Sophomore Semester 2:
4.0 UW
4.7 W

4 honors classes Sophomore year, 1 AP

Junior Year Semester 1:
3.86 UW
4.7 W

Junior Year Semester 2: TBD

Junior year: 4 AP’s and 1 honors

Extracurricular:
Varsity Softball for 4 years and State Champion, Science National Honor Society, Started a club to help end hunger

I am also in a special research-based program where we are required to take more difficult classes and have a senior thesis project

I plan on applying to the following colleges… Do you think I have a shot?

Have you talked to your parents about finances yet? Depending upon your parents income/assets, some of these may be unaffordable. For example, if your parents make $125k per year, Michigan would be around $260,000 for 4 years.

Yes, you should first check the NPC of these schools first. As for UMich, your GPA is far below their admission average although you have a somewhat upward trend.

Without knowing your test scores it is difficult to predict your chances. I will tell you that Notre Dame, unless you are being recruited for softball will be a reach. Same for Michigan and Virginia. I think that the upward trend with your grades will help and so will your ec’s. Have you visited all of these schools? Try and do it when school is in session so that you get a true picture of what campus is like while there are students around. It makes a difference. Best of luck to you!
