So have my 10th and 11th grade GPA which is weighted 2.83 so what colleges can I go to? or any other ones in US. I have a sat score of 1130
.
Are you finished with this semester? I responded to your previous post about the D.
Honestly, either the work in your current classes is too hard for you, or, you don’t know how to study and organize your study habits.
I think it will be rough for you to get admitted because the competition is tough. You could try your local CSU or those CSU’s that are not considered “popular”.
I just didn’t know how to study and now that I have a better understanding of what I have to do to study, it is too late. Yes I am finished with this semester.
There are 3000 colleges in the US but can you afford to go out of state?
Since you are posting in the Cal State forum, I assume you are a California resident. Lucky for you, California has a variety of schools in which you have a chance.
As stated above, first look to your local CSU which will give you priority if you are in the local service area. You can look up your local CSU here. Just be aware that SDSU and Cal Poly SLO do not give local preference anymore and if your intended major is impacted, you are not guaranteed an admission even if you are local.

The Cal states admit by major and eligibility index. They really only consider GPA/Test scores/Geographic location and HS course rigor. Other than Cal Poly SLO, your EC’s are not considered.
You need to calculate your CSU/UC GPA using grades from a-g courses taken 10-11th.
https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Post capped weighted UC GPA = CSU GPA
Not sure which courses are a-g and will give you extra honors points, then use this link by typing in your HS name?
https://hs-articulation.ucop.edu/agcourselist#/list/search/institution
Cal states and the majority of the UC’s use the capped weighted GPA.
Then calculate your Eligibility index:
If you took the Redesigned SAT:
(CSU capped weighted GPA X 800) + (SAT Evidence Based Reading & Writing (EBRW) + Math Score) = Eligibility Index
**CSULB and SJSU use a modified EI for STEM/Engineering majors:
http://www.sjsu.edu/admissions/impaction/impactionresultsfreshmen/index.html
You will then be ranked based on EI and major and they accept from the top down until all spots are filled.
CSU do not consider Senior year grades in their GPA calculation but you do need to pass all classes with a C or higher to maintain your acceptance.
I would look at the non-impacted CSU’s first such as Channel Islands, Bakersfield, Stanislaus, East Bay, Dominguez Hills.
Then you can look at CSU’s where your intended major is not impacted from this chart and adding these to your list:
https://www.calstate.edu/sas/documents/impactedprogramsmatrix.pdf
If costs are not a factor, then you could target some Private schools such as Whittier College, University of La Verne, Cal Lutheran, Cal Baptist, University of Redlands but check each school’s common dataset for the most recent GPA and test score data.
For OOS schools, look at WUE schools. Certain majors may be limited but worth investigating.

There is always the option of attending a community college for 2 years and your HS GPA/Test scores will not be considered but only your CC GPA. CSU’s and UC’s have articulation agreements with the CA CCC’s so you can check if this would be a better option to get into a choice school.
Assist.org will help you assess some CCC’s for transfer.
