I have an ACT composite score of 28 (English 30, Math 27, Reading 28, and Science 25), I have a GPA of 3.95, and I am also ranked 40 out of 396 Seniors at my high school. I am wondering which colleges I could possibly get into with these scores. Please help me. Thank you.

Google “common data set” “name of school you are interested in” 2009 … and you will find stats for that school of their last admissions class. This easy system will quickly tell you what schools you have a chance for admissions. If you are in the upper 25% - that would be a very good sign. If you are in the middle 50 - maybe. Some of that will depend on your EC’s, references and essays.

To add on: To narrow down the list, you should ask yourself what kind of college you want to go to: private/public, in/out-of-state, urban/suburban, etc. Don’t forget looking at each college’s strength in your specific field or major. Finally, the type of college environment is very important when deciding your college, such as the reputation of its students, faculty, living/studying areas, and overall school pride.
