What Colleges Could I Go To?

Hi, I’ve been searching for several colleges and scholarships the past summer, and I would like to know my chances of getting in to the following schools. I’m open to suggestions of what schools I have a good likelihood of getting accepted but here’s the kicker: I would have to be able to get a full ride or at least have 85%+ of my financial need met.

Here are some off my list:
Whittier College
UC Riverside, Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara, LA
Occidental College
Boston U
UNC Chapel Hill, Wilmington
CUNY Baruch, Hunter
Wake Forest
University of Colorado, Boulder
University of Washington
North Carolina State University
Bentley University

Here are some I have on my list but haven’t looked at yet:
CSU Channel Islands

CSU Long Beach

CSU Los Angeles

Pitzer College
Santa Barbara City College
Santa Clara University
University of Redlands
Soka University of America
Coker College
Furman College
Davidson College
Keene State College
Fort Lewis College
Alfred University
UNH
St Lawrence U
Clark U

I’d prefer to go to school anywhere but Florida. I’m a Florida resident but I don’t like Florida at all so I’d prefer to go out-of-state.

Here’s some info about me:

GPA UW: 3.0
GPA W: 4.0

The reason why my GPA is so low is because of my sophomore year. My GPA severely took a hit due to depression and laziness, and ever since I came around I’ve been trying to get it higher as much as I could. However, I did become a lot more responsible and I have learned many lessons from it. Sophomore year I failed Chemistry 1 Honors and had to retake it again my Junior year. I aced it my Junior year and now I’m in AP Chem my Senior year. I feel pretty confident in myself this year, and my chemistry teacher who is probably the best teacher at my school is very proud of how I’ve come. I pretty much turned around from a 1 F, 2 D’s, 2 C’s, 1 B year into a 5 A’s and 2 B’s year. Anyways moving on:

SAT: 1760 (CR: 610 M: 590 W: 560) I feel confident in getting at least a 1850 when I take it in October.

AP’s:
Human Geo (failed Soph. year, counselor discarded score)
AP Lang: 2
AP Enviro: 4
And right now I’m taking AP Chem, AP Stats, AP Gov, and AP Macro, and planning on getting 5’s in all of them.
I’ve also taken 6 Dual Enrollment Classes, 4 of which I am taking right now and will be getting A’s in them. Here are the one I already took:
DE American Civilization: A
DE World Civilization: B

I’m currently taking:
DE Intro to Microcomputers
DE Introduction to Computer Programming
DE American Literature 1
DE Survey of American Literature 2

EC’s:
Key Club from 11-12th grade
FBLA 12th grade
Vis a Vis Fashion Show for 2 years, (200 hrs. community service)
Humane Society Volunteer (planning on 50 hours)
Oleta River State Park Volunteer (planning on 50 hours)
Beach Cleanups (25 hours)
Teacher Aid after school (50 hours)

Recommendations: My chemistry teacher and my counselor are both very surprised at how I’ve turned myself around, so I’m pretty confident they will write me a nice recommendation letter.

Etc: Hispanic, First gen college. I hope I’m not missing anything else

Sorry for the really long post, but I need as much help as possible. Any help, input, suggestions are greatly appreciated. If there’s any more info I should add, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

California UC’s and Cal states give little to no financial aid or merit aid to OOS students, so cross them off your list. No free rides. Your GPA and SAT are not competitive for any merit aid at the California privates except for maybe Whittier. You need to target schools where your stats are at or above the 75th percentile for substantial merit. Check the common dataset for each school of interest and good luck.

Any place outside of Florida I have a chance in :expressionless:

You need to know how much you can pay first. Then look at these links to find Full ride scholarships and excellent FA: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1678964-links-to-popular-threads-on-scholarships-and-lower-cost-colleges.html

I read somewhere on here, don’t remember where, a list of colleges that give full-ride scholarships for average students, and I remember seeing for students with an SAT score above ~1410 the University of Kentucky would be a good match. How true is this?

Have you tried the link? There are several more links under that posted link that should give you enough information.

Do I have a chance in getting into University of Redlands? If I do, how generous are they with financial aid?
