What Colleges Do I Have A Chance At? Low GPA High SAT

<p>Gender/Ethnicity: Asian Female</p>

<p>SAT: 2220 ; 680 R, 750 M, 790 W with 10 essay (one sitting)</p>

<p>will maybe retake and raise CR to 800 (only missed sentence completions)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 UW ; UC W: 3.8</p>

<p>Rank: unknown, most likely BAD. (25-30%; extremely competitive, honors classes are UNWEIGHTED so those taking math 3 have higher gpas) </p>

<p>Honors+ AP Classes taken:
AP World, Honors Alg 2, Honors English, Honors PreCalc, AP Bio, AP Chem</p>

<p>Assume 4/5 on bio ap test and 5 on chem ap test</p>

<p>ECs:
-working on volunteer hours (40+ but still a junior)
-California Scholarship Federation (CSF)
-Own several businesses making thousands a year
-Own several websites</p>

<p>The last 2 are my passion, I've been doing it since 4th grade. When college apps come around, I plan to write about these two things :)</p>

<p>So pretty much... what schools do I have a shot at going to? I'd love to go to UCLA or Cornell but I know it's a huge reach with my gpa and sat score :/ So would you mind giving me some colleges that I can look at?</p>

<p>Yes, I'm a junior. My GPA is calculated from my current grades assuming the B+s go to A-s (they're at 89.9 so I'm sure they will be next week :D)</p>

<p>You’ve got some outstanding ECs. Doing stuff like that, I wouldn’t put any college lower than YHP off your list. Not saying you’ll get in, but its harder to know with hooks like that. What websites and businesses do you own (or what they do if you don’t want to reveal them).</p>

<p>online businesses, i sell stuff to entrepreneurs and internet marketers</p>

<p>i own a variety of websites ranging from forums, virtual pet sites, arcade sites, to those that help other people make money online :)</p>

<p>i also sell software and items that people need for seo, getting traffic, conversions, etc.</p>

<p>part of my business is also making others websites and selling them for money :)</p>

<p>I would say to look at schools where at least 25% were not in the to 10% of their class. With a little higher CR, i think top UCs are in reach.</p>
