What Colleges DON'T look much at freshmen year grades?

In my freshman year, I was in a n accident that caused me to miss 4-5 months of school so my gpa was 3.5 &3.0. I know it was a special circumstance, but I don't think it justifies it completely.

I was wondering what schools dont really look much at freshmen year grades. I know the UC's dont, but what other good schools dont?

Princeton.

Stanford - -

Mhmm…

Search and you’ll find about 20 posts asking the same thing

You can have a rough freshmen, and even sophmore year, and still get into great colleges.

Michigan doesn’t count freshman year.

question - so these / some colleges actually re-calculate your GPA solely based on 10th and 11th grade courses sometimes?

i have several classes from 7th and 8th in addition to 9th grade classes that count towards my high school gpa - should i take a look at what my GPA would be just based on high school and just based on 10th/11th grade, meaning, are those numbers significant?

Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, UC’s, USC are what I’ve heard.

If you are applying to any of these schools, recalculate your gpa, but I guess they still see your grades on your transcript, so at least try not to have a downward trend.

Johns Hopkins.

I know that the UC’s calculate your gpa based only on 10th and 11th grade so you should be good for those
