I live in Minnesota & I want to major in either bio or Spanish, with a pre-med track. I have a 3.75 UW GPA & a 4.58 weighted GPA. I took all IB classes. I scored a 32 on my ACT. I did a bit of volunteer work as a tutor. I am also choir vp, class council secretary and model UN historian. I am involved in about ten clubs. I was wondering what nearby (Midwestern) schools would academically fit me?
If I could also get recommendations to schools where I would have a high chance of receiving a scholarship that’d be fantastic
University of Minnesota? Wisconsin? Your stats are great but no one knows what you are looking for a small far a sense size and location.
You have little that would hold you back with respect to finding a good college. These samplings might help in terms of some suggestions for schools strong in your programs of interest:

Some ways to get started:
–Try the supermatch function to the left.
–Get your hands on some good college guide books (Fiske, Princeton Review) at your guidance dept. or library
–Think about what attributes you want in a college (ex. size, location, anything else)
–Get any parameters your parents may have (ex. financial, geographic, anything else).
I’d recommend Wisconsin-Madison. It’s a great school and I can’t see any other midwestern public being worth the OOS cost over it.
The exception would be if you instead prefer to go to an LAC - some great ones in the Midwest include Macalester, Carleton, Grinnell, St Olaf, Earlham, Denison, Lawrence, Kenyon, DePauw, Wooster. The first three are in your state. Lawrence is in Wisconsin, Grinnell in Iowa. Most of these are more selective (Macalester, Carleton, Grinnell) but you have a shot at getting in – and these are excellent schools. Others you would not only get in but also likely get merit. If I were you I’d research these, see what they offer, and try to visit at least the ones near you. At a number of these, biology is the most popular major, and they offer good foreign language programs too.
