Some schools I have seen are very accessible to pedestrians and seemingly to bicycles, but some of these have rules that limit bike riding on campus. What schools do you know of that have good path systems that are good for bikes and where bikes are allowed?

UC Davis has a very bike-friendly campus…I believe that Davis (the city) calls itself the biking capital of the world?

Stanford has bike-friendly weather! And biking is the most efficient way to get around campus (over walking or driving/parking/walking).

Stanford is the second biggest campus in the world. In other words biking is the way to get around.

Reed has a student supported biking group which keeps bikes in general repair for anyone to use. You grab a bike from in front of a building ride to another and leave it for someone else to use.

^ The bike thing is all part of Reed’s communism, atheism, free love agenda. Find me a college with fee-fo-service Hummers to drive from class to class.

Indiana University has a pretty strong biking culture. Ever seen the movie “Breaking Away?”

Vassar has one of those shared biking programs like Reed.

Incorrect. Stanford’s campus is large, but it’s not even close.

Davidson is extremely bike-friendly and, like Reed, has community bicycles for students.

Oberlin has a bike co-op where you can rent bikes for the semester, and also do repair work there.
My friend at Florida State rides bikes all the time too, and she said everyone else does as well.

I’d say Stanford and UCSB.

Michigan State University (MSU) - East Lansing

Cambridge in case you’re considering UK.

UCSB. Here’s a dorm parking lot:

I’ll put my vote in for UC Davis.

University of Washington.
