I received a t-shirt in the mail from Creighton a few months ago. I didn’t ask for it or anything, so I’m not sure why they sent it. I also just got one from Gustavus Adolphus. They sent me a card in the mail that I returned with my t-shirt size. I’ve also heard of a kid who emailed colleges asking for t-shirts and received a couple hundred shirts along with a plethora of other promotional items. Have you received any t-shirts from colleges? If so, which ones? Or, have you gotten anything in the mail that you could send back to get a t-shirt? I’d like to try to score some free shirts while learning about schools.
Go do a campus visit to UChicago. They give out a free shirt.
I thought UChicago switched to free blankets.
Do u plan to wear any of these Tshirts? Otherwise, seems like an epic waste of time, money, natural resources and valuable closet space.
@GMTplus7 Of course! I’m looking to get t-shirts because I wear t-shirts every day during the summer and I could use some more.
GMT, D received one during a visit to Wells College in upstate NY. She wore it for a while–great advertising here in the Midwest.
I think I got one from Geneseo five years ago.
Go on a tour/information session at Pitt; you will get a free t-shirt and a carabiner.
My S got them from Northern Michigan University, Luther College, and Cornell College. Western Colorado State University sometimes gives shirts. Also, if you ask about sunglasses and hats, they will give you those as well. Enjoy the stuff.
My kids got free t-shirts after touring at DePaul and Pitt, as well as at accepted student event at RIT.
Skip one college application to a “safety” school you wouldn’t actually attend. Redirect those application fee funds and buy 5-10 t-shirts of your own choosing.
The ones you get accepted to. B-)
My kid got one from UChicago when she sent in her test scores. Then another when she was admitted, and both parents got them as well.
