What Colleges Offer Summer School for High School Students and have Large Merit Scholarships?

Please list any colleges that have summer school classes for high school students that offer large merit scholarships. For instance, I just found out that Ole Miss offers a Full program fee scholarship ($2, 000) for students with a 33 or above of the ACT.

Thanks!

I think it will depend on where you live. Students who attend NYC DOE high schools and meet the eligibility requirements can attend summer courses at CUNY through College now for free. the cost includes books and metro cards.

Thanks. That is good to know for people in NYC. I am in the Mid Atlantic and haven’t heard of any deals like that near me. The Ole Miss merit aid isn’t limited to area the student lives and includes housing.

Is that link even a program that is aimed at high stats students who would likely have APs? Just make sure any courses take at over summer do not impact your freshman status for scholarship purposes at your desired 4 yr. If that isn't an issue wouldn't any CC that was accredited by your 4 yr do? What are you hoping to achieve?

If you’re interested in studying a foreign language, there are some schools that participate in STARTalk that have a free, residential program over the summer. I believe there’s one in FL. You’d still need to cover the cost of transportation. Indiana U also offers some scholarshiped summer language programs as well, but I think these may only be for students entering college and above.

@Sybylla - I’m looking for something that is on campus to be both fun an a learning experience.

@thumper1 - Thanks! I missed that section completely.

@SuburbanMom - Thanks for the info.
