<p>I’d like to know that too. I’ve heard the competition is tight in this economy.</p>
<p>Probably the schools you listed are up there.</p>
<p>Caltech I’m guessing is number one, although part of this is that Caltech students are generally more into academia than Stanford and MIT engineering students, where it’s fairly common to end up pursuing business, economics, law, medical school, etc. </p>
<p>I think what’s more important is just going to a solid undergrad engineering program and doing very well in it. If I were admitting graduate students I’d take a 3.9 student from, say, Case Western over a 3.4 from Berkeley.</p>
