Hello i’m an international white male student who wishes to study in the US but not sure if there is a possibility ?
I’m a senior…

Unweighted gpa : 3.97
No APs

Got lots of academic excellence awards throughout the years
But I can’t afford to pay 20k-60k a year or so, so I need a university that would offer me a full tuition scholarship
Is that possible?
If i increased my SAT score by may or june will that up my chances ?
Thank you.
First off, your unweighted GPA is extremely high. However, your SAT score is a bit low for the colleges i’m about to mention.
Because you don’t have any AP’s or IB or anything, I think colleges on the level of MIT/ Stanford will probably be out of reach, especially if you want a full tuition scholarship. I would recommend improving your SAT scores if you want this.
If you want my opinion, your stats look perfect for schools like:
-Georgia Tech
-UC Berkeley
-University of Michigan
I’d recommend looking at each colleges above. They are all very much prestigious in engineering, and you should be able to get into atleast one of them. GTech and UC Berkeley are both slightly better than UMich, so consider those first.
California UC’s will not give you any financial aid and your stats will not qualify for any small merit aid they offer. So at $55K/year, UCB will be unaffordable.
@MechEz OP’s stat is far below UMich CoE’s mid 50. Also, none of the school on your list would give aid to international students. Your comment on GTech being better than UMich is also not true. UMich CoE ranked higher than GTech in almost all engineering majors and the whole engineering school as a whole.
