What Colleges Should I Be Looking At?

Thanks for checking this post out. I just finished sophomore year...

GPA 3.66
I have taken Honors English/Communications both years, Advanced Biology(not AP but I am planning on taking that senior year), Advanced Math- I will be taking AP Calc AB and BC next year, and I will be taking APUSH, and AP Microeconomics next year.
I have not taken the SAT or ACT but my school took the PLAN test and my estimated ACT was a 31 but I am aiming for a 32 or 33.

Extracurriculars:
I am on Student Council Senate ( The position voted on by the student body at my school)next year
Varsity Soccer for two years
Varsity Nordic Skiing for two years
PEACE Leader (Basically helping with incoming freshman and giving tours around the school)
Volunteering in my church's nursery biweekly
Volunteering with bible school - weekly during the school year
Volunteering at Interfaith Outreach and other local organizations
Club Soccer and ODP (state) Team for soccer during the summer.

Next year I will be taking APUSH, ap calc AB/BC, AP micro

I am from Minnesota but out of state is not a worry of mine, my sister goes to BC, and I am looking for a school with a similar setting as BC.

Anybody have a suggestion?

how big of a school?

Possible majors?

Major?
Career Goal?
Budget (amount parents will spend on each year for college for YOU…ask them)?

Warm climate?
Cold climate?
Sports/Rah Rah atmosphere?
quiet small rural?

BC is a school that “meets need”. However, many schools don’t, so you need to find out how much your parents will spend on you while they’re also paying for your sister.

I am looking for a small to mid sized school. Climate would not really affect me. And I am looking into a business major. My main sport is soccer and would like to play but it is not a make or break factor.

muhlenberg college
butler university
college of wooster

Business major…

Many LACs won’t have that.

For soccer, would Club Soccer be ok, or do you want Div I, II, or III?

What have your parents said about budget?

[Muhlenberg College Accounting, Business, & Economics](http://www.muhlenberg.edu/main/academics/abe/)
[Economics & Business Economics - College of Wooster](http://www.wooster.edu/academics/areas/economics)
[Undergraduate Business Programs - Butler University](http://www.butler.edu/business-undergraduate/)

all the schools mentioned will provide a strong undergrad degree in business in a supportive environment.

Loyola University - Chicago (or Maryland or Marymount or New Orleans), Depaul, and Fordham are my recommendations. All of these schools offer relatively good programs in business, and they’re all Catholic/Jesuit like BC is, which sounds like it might appeal to you.

some ideas offhand are: Lehigh, Villanova, Tulane, Fordham, Holy Cross, Muhlenberg

A good college search engine is your friend:
[College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics](College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics)

However since your requirements are so broad it returned over 500 matches based on your major. The more specific you are, the better the results.

Another suggestion is to buy or borrow some college guides and do some browsing. Fiske Guide, Princeton Review are good.
