what colleges should I be looking at?

I'm going to be a junior and have just started my college search so any help would be appreciated!

I'm Asian Indian, from NJ, middle-class male
Stats:
PSAT(220)
have not taken SAT or ACT(but on SAT practice tests I have consistently been getting over 2100)
SAT II bio-670(will be retaking)/ will also take math IIC and probably literature

unweighted GPA-3.92/weighted-4.3(straight A's throughout)
have taken max possible courseload(APs only possible from next year on-I will be taking 4)

EC's:
head of scouting on World Championship robotics team(10,11,12)
treasurer of french club(9,10,11,12)
president of science league(9,10,11,12)-top 10% in NJ competitors
Model UN(10,11,12)
Varsity XC/track(9,11,12)-didnt do it last yr due to serious injury
Lego Camp(teach middleschool kids how to build model robots for 3 wks during the summer)
Volunteer work(200hrs at St.Peters University hospital)

financial aid/merit aid(if possible) is very important

I am looking for a medium to a large size school(5,000-20,000--I know thats a big range but i'm ok with that), preferably in the northeast or midwest, that provides a quality education. I am leaning towards business/econ as a possible major but want to keep my options open in case I change my mind.
It doesnt matter if the school is private or public either. Since I'm just starting my search, please feel free to list any and every school that you feel I should look at!
Thanks a lot!

Get your SAT scores in, and also, what is your class rank (rather than GPA)

my school doesnt rank, but i'm sure that i'm in top 5% in a class of 400

Georgetown University

IU Bloomington.

Normally, I'd suggest Rutgers to someone who wants to save money, but IU has one of the best business schools out there, and because it's a safety for you, you could probably get merit aid (which is almost as good as instate tuition).

Oh. Tulane is also a really good choice for merit aid (although I don't know anything about the businees program).

Northwestern, Boston University, NYU, George Washington University, Rutgers.

The suggestion I have for you is smaller than what you are asking for and is also located on the east coast in VA. I recommend University of Richmond because your SAT and GPA would fit great here. The size is a little less than 3000 but UR has all the resources of a large University. Also a lot of the student population has been involved in similar activities. To get an idea of what the 2006 first year class looked like here is the website and it helps break it down:

We have a great business school with it being ranked in the top 25 Business schools by Business week as #23 and #4 for its academic quality. It is the only top-ranked liberal arts university that is also a top-ranked business school. The great part about academics is that you won’t have to apply to a specific school as a first year so if you don’t want to switch your majors it is not hard and you will not have to add additional years to your college experience.

I saw you volunteered as a hospital so if you are interested in the sciences or pre-health. It also has a great acceptance rate into medical schools (over 90% which is much higher than the average of 50%). We also have a lot of other majors that you should look into. They are all on our website that is at the bottom.

It is a private school but it has a great financial aid package. UR meets all of its need based aid, but also has merit based aid available as well. It was ranked as one of top 25 Kiplinger’s best value. Over 2/3 of the student receive aid of some form to get here and there are 50 full ride scholarships for each class which works out to be 1 in 15 students receive full tuition.

Good luck looking at colleges. If you want more information about University of Richmond, here is the website http://richmond.edu/

Hopefully you will want to look more into it.

thanks everyone, so far all of your suggestions have been very helpful. additionally can some ppl post similarly to WorldChanger and SpiderLove(post schools where I would get merit aid)
