Not big on partying

Not big on party, come on live life.

But if don’t want to party try small liberal arts colleges.

bump .

Ummm…maybe look up Amherst, Williams, Mount Holyoke, Wellesley, Middlebury, Hamilton, Brandeis, Ursinus, Bowdoin, Colby, Bates, Colgate, and St. Lawrence University.

Also, Smith has an excellent science program, though it is by no means preppy.

Just suggestions.

Boston University-High Match

Also: UVa, UNC-Chapel Hill, Emory, Bucknell, Cornell, Rochester.

Your GPA looks great, but without anything else top LACs will be out of reach unless you see a big step up in the SAT scores. It is very difficult to get into Amherst or Williams with SATs below 700 unless you have something unique to offer. Of the schools mentioned, Bucknell might be a match but has a huge greek party scene and not much else. Wheaton in Mass is supposedly not big on parties and with your gpa they might be happy to give you money. Trinity in Hartford is a nice school, not exactly rural but not a big city either. I think Union College in NY is also a great school - not sure about the party scene. What about the girls schools? Mt Holyoke has a gorgeous campus.

To the OP: You never indicated the size of the school you would be seeking. You indicate you’re interested in science. Are you interested in research opportunities? You may need to focus on schools larger than the liberal arts colleges. Also, I presume you want an appreciable Jewish presence in additition to a preppy vibe. I think some of the schools I mentioned in my earlier post provide these aspects. It would to completely avoid parties at most schools but at more academically oriented schools, it should be possible to find your niche and crowd.

Good match with those SAT scores and your other criteria: Muhlenberg
It has very good grad school/med school placement of students with SAT scores similar to yours; check it out!
If you can get your math and critical reading above 700, consider some of the other schools people are mentioning
Try taking the ACT; at this point your grades and rank seem incongruous with your SAT scores. Maybe the ACT will be more consistent with your grades and rank.
