What colleges should I be looking to apply at?

Would love hearing anyone’s opinions!

Please do not get your hopes up too much by the advice of @Politics2016‌

Your statistics are good and those universities (MIT, CalTech etc) are ones which you should consider applying to, but “your hopes” still should be at Carnegie Mellon as it is a very competitive school. What I am saying is that do not think at all that you are overqualified for it.

Oh, I do not think that at all! I still feel the same as I entered this website: hopeful for the best, but expecting the worst. I will put my best foot forward, but I will never think it’s enough, nor should I.

Daily bump! Anyone?

I’m gonna come out and say it and bring you back down to earth. No, your ECs aren’t good. For a theatre arts major? Sure! For pre med? Not even close. Outside of just saying you are interested in doing that, you haven’t done anything to indicate that you are genuinely interested in that area. Have you considered an internship? If you email a college professor at your local university, you could potentially be a research intern. These ECs are great, but they will not get you into a top school for anything science related. Try something science related over the summer.

Out of 11 ECs, you have that 1 Elkhorn thing. That isn’t nearly enough

@SugarBubbleTea‌ Thanks for your input! I am planning to join academic team, participate in surgeries on sunday, a volunteer opportunity where surgeons donate time for free surgeries, and instill a science olympiad along with the research at my school. I’m looking for research opportunities as well, but have to admit I don’t know the professional way of going about it.

Just shoot an email to a professor. That’s all it takes  You are certainly driven. That will come across in any interview you do or essay you write. But just show that you have experience in the medical field. Good luck!

I’m a Kentucky student and you will get free tuition at in state schools because of GSA as long as you get a 28+ ACT

You are a very high caliber student. Here are some colleges that could be good for you. They are quite selective but you would stand a good chance.

Bucknell
Cornell
Notre Dame
Northeastern
Boston College
Boston University
University of Michigan
Brandeis
NYU

bump!

bump!

I’d like to add I won best presentation for research and highest achievement in my biomedical science’s course.
