I'm looking to major in computer science or business/marketing. What colleges should I consider? I live in Chicago. Here is some info about me:

Male
Hispanic
ACT: 25, retaking in October to get a higher score
Rank: 10 out of 150
GPA: 4.3 (weighted)
EC's: Boy scouts (soon to be eagle), NHS, varsity tennis, computer club, games club, and a couple of others
I also work
I have taken the hardest classes my school has to offer, currently taking 4 AP's as a senior, the past 3 years I have completed 3 AP's

I have been thinking about DePaul University, Illinois institute of technology, Marquette University, University of Minnesota, University of Illinois at Chicago and Urbana-Champagne, and Illinois State University. Should I be considering others? What are my chances for these? Thanks!

No, sorry if this post didn’t comply with the forum’s rules. I just wanted to see if i could get any help.

They aren’t rules (did you even read it?). They are things you need to consider and communicate in your post if you expect to get helpful suggestions. No info on your financial situation, for example – how can we begin to help?

There are not official rules, but others can help you better if you give the information that can help others help you.

For example, without knowing what you can afford, others will not know how to suggest financially feasable colleges for you.

why not try university of chicago just for the heck of it. If you increase your ACT you might have a chance.

The OP would have to increase his ACT a lot to be a U of C candidate. Plus, I don’t see an undergrad major of business/marketing being a U of C thing at all. As my dad says of U of C, “They are eggheads there.” Don’t get that vibe from this poster’s information so far.
