What colleges should I look into?

<p>High School:
- I have average-ish grades, mostly As, Bs, though I did fail one semester of English junior year, which could be a hindrance.
- So far I've got a 4 and a 5 on my AP Exams.
- I should be getting in the 1800-1900 SAT score range and a 26-28 ACT.</p>

<p>College:
- I would really like to go to a college in a nice city (preferably bigger or near a big city), with a good environment within the school. I know it's not good to judge a book by its cover, but my environment really makes an effect on me and how I study.
- I am interested in studying International Relations.</p>

<p>So far, my top three schools are Tulane, Occidental, and University of Edinburgh (a reach school). I'm interested in UK schools as well as ones here in the US.</p>

<p>You might want to look at the CTCL schools for match schools. These are quality LACs that are generally more tolerant of modest GPA, and several are located in or near large cities:</p>
