What colleges should I look into?

Hi I’m a junior from Illinois and was wondering what colleges I should look into. I have a 1050 PSAT and a 3.04W/2.83UW. I had to redo algebra in freshman year due to a D but so far this semester I have all A’s and B’s. I am hoping my ignorance from Freshman and sophomore year won’t hold me back from colleges like Mizzou, arizona, Marquette, Iowa state, Rhode island, Iowa and DePaul. However, I am very curious to know what colleges in the Northeast, southeast, Northwest and Midwest would fit my hopefully 3.3 weighted GPA/ forgive the 2.8 unweighted GPA as an underclassman. and maybe 25-30 ACT/ 1100-1200 SAT

What are you looking for - small, large, suburbs, rural, major? And budget. This will help narrow it down.

My budget is unknown right now but obviously not overly expensive. I wanna major in history or a social study such as psych or sociology. Geographically I am open to anywhere throughout the contigous United States but I mostly want to be in an urban area or a large college town

UIS?
Run the NPC on Concordia-Moorhead, Hamline, Augsburg, Umn-duluth, UDubuque, Bradley, Elmhurst, Lake Forest, perhaps Loyola Chicago, DePaul, Iowa, Iowa State.
If looking further south: UMW, CNU, Stetson, Flagler, UNC-Wilmington, College of Charleston.

I recommend starting with the colleges that participate in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP), which caps out-of-state tuition at 150% of in-state tuition.

Many of these schools may be cheaper than your in-state options. For example, MSEP tuition at the University of Nebraska is $8700 a year, which is about half the cost of in-state tuition at UIUC.

A top-notch choice (a bit of a reach but if your scores don’t improve, you can apply test optional) would be Clark.
As a junior, get involved in your community - volunteer, help out, participate in groups&clubs.
