What colleges w 3.2 gpa and 30 act?

What schools can I get into w a 3.2 weighted 10-12 gpa (showed improvement) and 30 act. I had a low gpa due to a family reason which I will write about on my personal essay. My gpa imporved when things were resolved tho. Lots of ec’s/ work experience. Started a buisness as well. Can I get into UCI or UCLA?

What is your UC/CSU GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Here are the averages for UCLA and UCI. You can see for yourself that your GPA is an issue. If you address your family issues, it could help your chances at the UC’s but the UC’s love those high GPA’s.

There is no reason not to apply to these schools, but I would suggest your add UCSC/UCR/SDSU/CSULB/CSU Fullerton and CPP to your list and your local CSU or a non-impacted CSU campus as a Safety. This should give you a broad list of Reach/Match and Safety schools.

Would i get into sdsu? Sd resident. My family issue should help a lot

SDSU only uses CSU GPA and ACT scores, so any family issues cannot be addressed on your application. However, since you are an SD resident you get priority which could help. There are no guarantees, but you have a better chance the most applicants with your lower than average GPA. Just apply broadly so you have choices next year.

Try using the supermatch function to the left (under find a college).

Ok thanks. I hear a lot if crazy stories about uc’s as well. I heard someone get into uci w a 3.0 and 27 on act

Getting into a UC with a 3.0 UC GPA and ACT of 27 is possible at UCM and UCR but for anything more competitive, these applicants either have extenuating circumstances, recruited athletes and some very special talents. Do not count out some of the UC’s but also do not count on getting an acceptance. If you have a good overall list where your stats are at or above the averages, then you stand a decent chance. Also when you apply to schools with 30% acceptance rates or less, there is never any guarantees.
