What colleges would be good if you wanted to be an actuary?

<p>Is there an actuarial science degree or major? Do all 4 yr residential colleges offer such a degree?</p>

<p>What would be the best line of study to best prepare someone for work as an actuary?</p>

<p>Is there a ranking for 'best colleges for actuarial science' as there is for engineering, for example?</p>

<p>someone at school with me is majoring in biometry and statistics and wants to become an actuary, so probably anything stats-related would be good. (sidenote: i don’t actually know anything about being an actuary, but from talking to her, she seemed to know what she was doing haha)</p>
