Hey,
I'm a junior in a Moroccan private school.
My freshman and sophomore grades weren't as good as this years. Fortunately, i improved this year and have gotten B's as compared to the C's and B's i had the last two years. I have been on the honor roll this year as well. My GPA is a 3.0 unweighted.
In addition, i have been in the debate club last year as well as this year. I have also done a few hours of community service which really taught me a lot.
I will be taking the SAT's this May. My PSAT's weren't so good so with a lot of studying, i hope to do well..
I will also be taking AP French, have considered taking AP English but not so sure about that.

What are a few state schools that you would recommend? Preferably those that give scholarships to international students.

and what else can i do this year to impress colleges?

Prices here without any special scholarships are as low as you would pay at many other places with scholarships. This is a school that is looking for more diversity, so they charge international students the same low rate for tuition that they charge in-state students. You would be appreciated here.

Bemidji State University, also in Minnesota, is even less expensive

and again, they are looking for more international students. The campus is absolutely beautiful; right on Lake Bemidji. But it is very cold there there in the winter - if you did not enjoy cold and snow, you would probably not be happy. If you like sledding, ice skating and cross country skiing, you could consider Bemidji. It is in an area that is so beautiful it gets many, many tourists in the summer.

To be honest, state schools don’t really provide scholarships to international students. So, I would recommend you look for some private colleges. I know they are very very costly, but financial aid really helps! You could go through the list of Liberal Arts Colleges. See the ones that match your profile. Also, see if they offer aid award to internationals. I’ve sure you’ll some across dozens of names that will fit you perfectly!
