One that makes you stand out and noticeable when meeting someone? In other words, what do -YOU- consider a good first impression when meeting someone at school, in the store, et cetera? Gracias.

Eye contact- no shifty business. Face-friendliness or smiling. Posture (arms folded stiffly, or by the side loosely makes a huge difference). Cleanliness of clothing and self

completely agree with fa-la-la-lena.
seem like those really successful business people, smiley and good posture and good eye contact.

big cans = good first impression

I would also like to throw in diction. The words people choose to use tells me a lot about their personality.

Hm..their vibe; how you feel when you’re conversing.

There are certain people who can convey intelligence, openness, positivity, etc. within a few sentences. If they are eloquent, have positive body language, look well put together, and are memorable, then they have made an excellent first impression.

That’s kind of scary sometimes, though. Especially when they overdo it. Then, it’s phony.

It’s like, they rush up to you, grab your hand, give you a firm handshake and that prize-winning smile, and stare straight into your soul.

They do that “Oh, it’s so great to see you again, how have you been?” routine, the male version of the ecstatic female greeting, i.e. “AAAH, it’s SO great…” hug, kiss on cheek, really fake bubbly enthusiasm
